The Georgetown Hotel
was built in 1849 over the top of the
Georgetown Mine, believed to be one of the
largest in California. The Hotel was completely
destroyed by fire in 1852, rebuilt at the same
location, only to be burn down in 1856 and again
in 1896. Rebuilt again, the Georgetown Hotel
still stands as it did 100 years ago, except for
some modern upgrades and repairs.
Georgetown celebrates
a colorful history.
Hotel Accomodations,
Good Food, and an authentic
