Walking
Sticks are used for off road hiking or unleveled ground.
Most hikers like the length to be from the ground to above the
shoulder. The added length assists you in walking up and down
hills. In town walking sticks are a bit shorter. They are usually
measured from the ground to your arm pit.
Most walking sticks have a "topper"
which is an item placed on the top. The topper gives your walking
stick a more stable and secure grip than a handle. It also adds
a personalized artistic touch to make your walking stick unique.
Hand carved character toppers can be created as bears, wolves,
buffalo, a simple ball or knob, or whatever you choose. A name
can also be carved into the cane for that added touch. |
